What to say?
When I started on LJ, everyone who read my blog knew me in real life, so the bio served no point. But if I ever want to use this site to meet people, I should probably say something about myself. The problem is, I don't know what to say.
Ummm . . .
I'm a lawyer. I just recently moved to Manhattan. I like to cook. I vacillate between the highbrow (James Joyce, Debussy, Modigliani), the lowbrow ("Family Guy," "Best Week Ever," 3-chord, 4/4 rock songs) and the no-brow (diner fare, pornography, the fact that I had to look up "Modigliani") with dizzying rapidity.
I try to be funny. I don't always succeed.
I don't feel the need to list every band, TV show, movie, and book I've ever liked in my "interests" section (for one thing, I think LJ has bandwidth limits). So if you don't see Your Favorite Band up there, don't fret -- if they're good, I'm down. Ditto TV, ditto movie, ditto book.
I haven't always been excellent, but I've always been clutch.
I will talk about anything. Give me a try.
